A Bucket Full of This Will Keep the Doctor Away!

We are living in a health conscious generation. People are concerned about their bodies in ways that previous generations never even considered. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, there is something better that we can concentrate on:

Joyfully you’ll pull up buckets of water from the wells of salvation. And as you do it, you’ll say, "Give thanks to God. Call out his name. Ask him anything! Shout to the nations, tell them what he’s done, spread the news of his great reputation! Isiah 12:3 (MSG)

The joy that comes when we draw from the very depth of our soul, the waters of our salvation is sure to cure most of our ills. Coupled with the exuberance that comes when we make a conscious effort to go to the "whosoever", "wherever" God sends us and share with them the good news of the gospel; this is a sure way to health and happiness.

There is scientific evidence that when we make a conscientious choice to extend ourselves to others and give of ourselves in a productive manner that we will experience satisfaction and a joy in living that others do not experience. While we cannot purport that it will cure all diseases, living a lifestyle that has learned the secret of giving will help us through whatever life brings our way.

The words of Ezra are a better way to start the day than Wheaties:

Then Ezra said to them, "Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold." Nehemiah 8:10 (AMP)
