Divine Disruption!

Have you ever had someone just come in and blatantly disrupt your plans? Even if there was no evil intent, the effect could still be upsetting. Think of what God felt when Lucifer in the guise of the serpent disrupted His plans for mankind:

All who indulge in a sinful life are dangerously lawless, for sin is a major disruption of God’s order. Surely you know that Christ showed up in order to get rid of sin. There is no sin in him, and sin is not part of his program. No one who lives deeply in Christ makes a practice of sin. None of those who do practice sin have taken a good look at Christ. They’ve got him all backward. 1 John 3:4-6 (MSG)

God had a plan which included man living in paradise – enjoying life, mastering over the earth and the animals on it, and fulfilling His Kingdom purposes. Sin came in with a force of disruption that completely changed the plan of God. However, Lucifer did not know that God, who knows the end from the beginning, had provided another plan already:

When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Romans 5:6 (NLT)

Just when it looked as if man would never get it right – Christ not only stepped down from heaven to earth, but He came as a ransom to pay the price for man’s sins – with His own blood. Here we find that God chose to take the disruption of sin and replace it with a divine disruption to the plan of the enemy! Once again, paradise was possible:

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in ChristJesus: Ephesians 2:6 (KJV).

What a God to make something glorious out of a disruption!

It’s all in His plans. We must never forget that.
