Every "Mic" Has a Different Story!

We are well into the second full month of the "Shelter At Home" commands. Those you might look too as authorities all have different views. It’s as if you give them a microphone, they expound from their own philosophical frame. Estimates of, "we are ready now to open up the country;" too, "not until there is a vaccine" have us wondering when this current crisis will ever end. I reserve citing my own opinion because that and a quarter can’t even get you a cup of coffee. However, I am heartened by those who are doing something to help the people who are suffering the most. Organizations like Farm Link who utilize volunteers to get food to food banks across the country and who are serving the neediest families in our society. This is heartwarming, but even with things like this, it is only a bandaid to cover the vast needs we are facing in this country.

So how long? The Israelites learned during their journey in the wilderness, that they could only come – or – go when God let them know:

18 At the commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord, and journeyed not.

20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the Lord they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they journeyed. Numbers 0:18-20 (KJV)

When the cloud rested over their tents, it was indication that the Israelites had to remain in their tents. When the cloud moved, they could continue on their journey.

While thinking about that, consider, wouldn’t it great if God Himself called the shots? Not this so called expert, or that one? But God Himself sent the message to earth – "stay-at-home" or "time-to-go"! This way we wouldn’t have to question the agenda of the person issuing the order. Wouldn’t it wonderful if God dried this virus up and there would be no one who could dispute it? That the line would not only be flat but non-existent! God still does miracles, and as I read today:

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:11-14 (KJV)

I don’t know about you, but I’m asking…
