Follow the Light!
Have you ever been in a really dark place? So dark that you can’t see your hand in front of your face? The first thing you would probably do is to look around and see if you can find some light. For we know if can find just a little bit of light, we will find a way to the source of freedom – a door, a window, a weak place in the foundation. If you can visualize this, then you can visualize what happens to our soul when it is in a dark place. A place so dark that there appears to be no hope. That dark soul, like the dark room, however, can also look for a light to find the way of escape:
22 "The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. If your heart is unclouded, the light floods in. Matthew 6:22 (TPT)
The splendor light of heaven’s glorious sunrise
is about to break upon us in holy visitation,
all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender.
79 The word from heaven will come to us
with dazzling light to shine upon those
who live in darkness, near death’s dark shadow.
And he will illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace."LUKE 1:78-79 (TPT)
If we can wipe the cobwebs off of our heart and and look up, then the "light" of the eyes of the spirt will come in and lead us into peace. We need not feel forsaken and alone – God is always just a prayer away. His glorious presence is revealed as we follow the light; as we travel through the earth’s terrain in faith, knowing that our Lord reigns!
This is good news for those of us walking in the darkness of this present day, yet want a way out. We as a people, have never been this way before and the darkness appears to have no light. Yet the Word of God says:
17 Because this revelation lamp now shines within you, nothing will be hidden from you—it will all be revealed. Every secret of the kingdom will be unveiled and out in the open, made known by the revelation-light. 18 So pay careful attention to your hearts as you hear my teaching, for to those who have open hearts, even more revelation will be given to them until it overflows. And for those who do not listen with open hearts, what little light they imagine to have will be taken. Luke 8:17-(KJV)
