Hearing It Over and Over…
I like hearing the radio when I’m in the car. It keeps me in touch with the latest songs, songs that I might miss otherwise. I don’t follow any of the streaming music platforms, but I will tell anyone that Pastor Steven Furtick is perhaps my favorite online pastor and I even like the music.
Well I have heard Rattle over and over, but never thought the words would speak to me in a very personal way:
Saturday was silent
Surely it was through
But since when has impossible
Ever stopped You
Friday’s disappointment
Is Sunday’s empty tomb
Since when has impossible
Ever stopped You
This is the sound
Of dry bones rattling
This is the praise
Make a dead man walk again
Open the grave
I’m coming out
I’m gonna live
Gonna live again
This is the sound
Of dry bones rattling…

Above is a position of “Rattle” and as catchy as the tune is, I never thought the words would bring a personal message to me from God. For it was these words that rang in my ears as I looked at a monumental task that I have been asked to perform. I felt like the disciples must have felt when Jesus went to the grave feeling as if it was all over. Then all of sudden, out of the grave He arose- a dead man walking again!
God didn’t stop when He gave resurrection power to Jesus. He is yet working in the lives of dead situations, bringing them to life again. He is filling us with resurrection power to pull that which is dead is us to life, if we listen closely, we can hear “THE SOUND OF DRY BONES RATTLING” RATTLE, RATTLE, are you listening?
Maria
AMEN!! PRAISE GOD FOR THE EMPTY TOMB!!
Grateful that God is a God of resurrection!
