He’s A God Who Keeps His Promises!
Today is a new day alive with opportunities. There are so many, many directions we can take. Yet, each of us are wired a different way. We are not all going to take the same opportunities. It is also bcause when we were born, we had a special DNA and a special PFL. What is PFL? Very simply the initials for Purpose for Life! We all have our very own purpose in this life, and therefore we will more than likely choose those things that help to fulfill our purpose. Unless of course we veer from our designated path, or even worst we keep trying to find our way ourselves and not seek the One who made us.
When we communicate with the One who made us, we find that He has made us exceedingly great and precious promises and more than that He has let us know:
You keep every promise you’ve ever made to me! Since your love for me is constant and endless, I ask you, Lord, to finish every good thing that you’ve begun in me! Psalm 138:8 (TPT)
So you see not only does He give us promises, but He finishes everything He starts! We have the kind of Father that knows what we need and is willing to help us attain it. Whether it’s family, career, church, or whatever persuasion we’ve been struggling with. If we dig into His Word and seek what He’s said about our situation, we’ll find that there’s a promise and an oath:
13 Now when God made a promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater than himself, he swore an oath on his own integrity to keep the promise as sure as God exists! 14 So he said,
"Have no doubt, I promise to bless you over and over,
and give you a son and multiply you without measure!"
15 So Abraham waited patiently in faith and succeeded in seeing the promise fulfilled. 16 It is very common for people to swear an oath by something greater than themselves, for the oath will confirm their statements and end all dispute. 17 So in the same way, God wanted to end all doubt and confirm it even more forcefully to those who would inherit his promises. His purpose was unchangeable, so God added his vow to the promise. 18 So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! Hebrews 6:13-15 (TPT)
The above is Abraham’s story. You have a story too, it may be different, but the last part is the same – "It is impossible for God to life…his promise and his vow will never change"!
