I’m Not The Only One Who Questions!

The other day I was watching a commercial featuring a luxury liner on the sea going to a resort location. Now i have been on a cruise before, in fact, two – but it was of necessity, not because I gave it a lot of thought. Watching it on television gliding across the waters, I actually started to wonder how could this mega ton ship stay afloat on top of the seas? And even more so when the sea was not calm.

Well, lest you think I am the only one who thinks about such things, let me take you to a passage of scripture that questions the same thing:

There are three things which are too astounding and unexpectedly wonderful for me,
Four which I do not understand:
¹⁹
The way of an eagle in the air,
The way of a serpent on a rock,
The way of a ship in the middle of the sea,
And the way of a man with a maid. Proverbs 30: 18-19 (AMP)

Thousands of years ago, Solomon posed this same question. There have always been those who question, and fortunately there have always been those who upon questioning, sought for answers. This leads me to believe that questioning is not the thing that is concerting; rather, where or to whom you go to for answers. There is One who from the very beginning of time knew it all:

^​8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the ^[a]elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Christ. ⁹ For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. ¹⁰ And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power]. Colossians 2:8-10 (AMP)​
