In Her Light by David Crawford
Editor’s Note: My son prepared this for me for my birthday, and I thought I would share it because it applies to all mothers.
In her light no one has to feel the fear of darkness
Go through a moment of doubting themself
In her light there is a dazzling grace
A a warm embrace of cultivation
Having her back towards all opposition
She is the protector of her seedlings
Though the weeds strike her essence
She won’t give up on her position
In her light We find our necessities
A cup of the purest water
A life bringing love of touch and nutritions
In her light we understand the cost of sacrifice
In her light we are drawn to the presence of God himself
We’re we need for nothing and we are blessed to see each day
The light of a mother boast not of her own works but if the vivacious nature of her creation.
In your light Mother we have become the lights for your legacy and will not miss the opening you’ve created to breed new light.
It’s only because of your light we are here.
From your light
