It’s More Than Humility!

As we grow in God we understand that even though He does great things through us, the glory must go to the Lord – not to us – for without Him we can do nothing. However, as I was thinking on this, when we think of giving the glory to God, it’s about more than humility:

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

3That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (KJV)

In looking at this passage, it begins by saying that God has given us wisdom, as well as righteousness and sanctification and redemption. That being said, we can appreciate the great and mighty things God does and might not even mind sharing center stage with Him. However, how about when things aren’t great and mighty in our understanding? How about when there is a pandemic that stretches into two years with no end in sight? How about when a war you thought was over, rages with intensity once again? While we can easily attribute these things to satan and say that God said these things would happen; do we really have the wisdom of God? Do we think that He sees these things and just because satan is the prince of the power of the air, that God ignores what’s going on down here the on earth?

If you have any thought processes like me, you probably don’t have an answer for this. While we can’t always understand the suffering that often extends into the masses, the wisdom of God in me says, “trust Him” – I yet believe the wicked will not continue to prosper like a green tree. I yet believe that there will be a day of reckoning when all injustice will be dealt with by the mighty Hand of God. I can’t give you a reason, a timetable, or anything that may satisfy – only that, “as it written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord”. I will not let satan trick me into feeling that God is on vacation – He is alive and if His people will continue to pray – we will see HIs redemption!

It’s Promised!!

Amen! We cannot allow the enemy to put any doubts in our heads about who God is and what He can do!
