It’s Never Too Late!
It’s late in the day when I write this post. This has been an unusual National Day of Prayer for me, because so many that have preceded today were spent in actively spending the day in a church or otherwise celebrating this great occasion.
Today, I have been a little under the weather, preventing me from going out. And today, probably because there are still carryovers from the Pandemic, there were not the usual activities on television. Yet, as I was in Bible study this evening, I recognized that there is never a time or situation when it is too late to pray. There is always an opportunity to go before the throne of grace and petition our Heavenly Father for help in time of need.
Therefore, though the actual National Day of Prayer 2022 is winding down, our national effort to pray should just be winding up. Today should have been just a springboard to push us forward, to propel us into believing for greater evidence that the devil is defeated, that God is yet exalted, and that Jesus is indeed Lord!
The theme for the National Day of Prayer for 2022 was: Exalt the Lord Who Has Established Us, Colossians 2:6-7:
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Let us pray that all those who name the name of Christ bow down in prayer and lift up in praise – not just on a set aside day, but on every day – praying “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth – as it is in heaven”.
Ready – Set – Go- the time starts now!
