KNOWLEDGE!

There have been different devious statements sent to the church to paralyze them from venturing into what God has for them. One such devious statement was sent to stop people from seeking knowledge, instead saying that education was unnecessary for the child of God. What is interesting is that God speaks to that in the book of Proverbs:

The mind of the prudent [always] acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise [always] seeks knowledge. Proverbs 18:15 (AMP)

However, maybe this only applies to the prudent -who are they:

"acting with or showing care and thought for the future": Oxford Dictionary

It is a selfish generation that feels as if they have all they need, for our very purpose is to prepare the way for the next generation, to not only teach what you know but to build systems to increase knowledge. The second verse says that the ‘ear of the wise (always) seeks knowledge". How many times does God tell us that "wisdom is the princIpal thing" (Proverb 4:7) Search the scriptures and you will see that God is not opposed to knowledge, what He is opposed to is knowledge without understanding. When Jesus spoke in John the fifth chapter about searching the scripture and finding Him, it did not negate searching for knowledge, seeking wisdom; rather, it negated building a shrine for that knowledge as if you somehow created that knowledge. For the scriptures say,

O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. Psalm 104:24 (KJV)

and

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalm 111:10 (KJV)

Scripture after scripture confirms that God is both the author and the finisher of wisdom and knowledge. Walking with Him gives us entrance into His Word (wisdom and knowledge) and that Word brings us light (understanding). Don’t reject what God has brought forth for us to have; yet never forget who gave it!
