Mountain Climbers Don’t Talk!

I can’t remember a time in recent years when I went a whole week and did not writ not one post. This week, like this year, has been an unusual week. When you are climbing a mountain, your words are few, your total concentration has to be on the climb, not assessing the view. When you get to the top of the mountain then you can see the magnificient view from an appropriate vantage point I confess I had to get my bearings to hear from God. While I have my opinion, like everyone else, as to what is happening in our nation, my opinion and yours and a quarter won’t get you even a cup of coffee! For with all the so-called experts determining who is right and who is wrong – there is only one who really knows and that is the Lord God Almighty who sits upon His throne!

If I could say anything after walking this walk for over fifty years – things are not as they appear – truth has not been revealed, and it may be too disheartening for it to be revealed. There are many who would lose faith in this nation entirely if we knew all the things that go on in the closed offices of political parties. What we do need to know is that the One who hears all the conversations as well as knows the secrets of men’s hearts is yet on His job and if we will yield ourselves to Him, He will watch over us and keep us in all of our ways!’

I’m reminded of the Psalmist giving this praise unto God:

121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalm 121 (KJV)

With the end of this week unfolding, this is my heart’s cry – I remember all of my help comes from God, and know with all assurance that He will not suffer our feet to be moved beyond His will; He will preserve my soul and my prayers are that He will keep from evil and preserve the soul of my family (blood and extended) not only in this turbulence year, but forevermore.

Amen and Amen,

Maria
