My Very Own God!

​One of the delightful things about walking this Christian walk is that there are many great benefits.  It begins with having your very own God:

​See, God has come to rescue me;
I will trust in Him and not be afraid, for the Eternal, indeed, the Eternal is my strength and my song.
My very own God has rescued me. Isaiah12:2 (The Voice)

​God is so great that even with the 7.7 billion people there are in the world, He is still able to be a personal God to each and every one. I love this passage in Isaiah because it rings with the truth of just what happened when the majestic God of the universe, the Creator of all things stopped one day to rescue me out of a world of sin and shame. Fear had beset me with the realization that I was incapable of living this life in victory. I was failing, I needed help, I needed a Savior.

God is indeed my strength and my song, He is indeed my deliverer. In each and every situation I find myself in, there comes a point when I realize that I’m not alone – God, my God is there with me. As we approach the day of proclaimed Thanksgiving in this country, my heart is grateful first and foremost that I have my very own God.
