Oh I Want to Go To Church!

Yesterday millions of Americans and people all over the world, even with sheltered at home orders participated in National Day of Prayer services. They prayed that the Glory of the Lord would cover the earth. Nothing less than the glory of the Lord could rid this world of this deadly pandemic. The scripture tells us in 1 John 5:

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)

What this says to me is that because we asked for the healing of the nation, and we know healing is the works of God, that He not only heard us but He would grant us the petition that we asked. Therefore, soon and very soon, one thing will be able to happen- we will be able to go to church!

God is not a god the remains in isolation. God wanted us to have relationship, thus after the first man, He made a woman After their union, He created families, after families communities. God’s desire is not to have perpetual "social distancing". To that end we must pray that the perfect work of God be made manifest in the earth realm. That statistics will bear out the evidence that in fact God has moved in our behalf. One thing is sure however, that we can never forget:

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV)

Yes, we are all in this together, and we are praying in faith that God will give us a way out – and back at work and with our families and most of all in church!
