Poetry Flowing From Heaven to Our Heart!
Poetry is a form of expression that early in my life caught my attention. I have always had a love affair with words and when I first read, "I think that I will never see, a poem as lovely as a tree..", I was hooked on poetry from then on.
When I looked up the definition of poetry from Literary Terms. net, it read:
Poetry is a type of literature based on the interplay of words and rhythm. It often employs rhyme and meter (a set of rules governing the number and arrangement of syllables in each line). In poetry, words are strung together to form sounds, images, and ideas that might be too complex or abstract to describe directly. Literary Terms.net
As a coincidence, there is one scripture in particular that keeps coming up whenever I face challenging circumstances:
So don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward! You need the strength of endurance to reveal the poetry of God’s will and then you receive the promise in full. Hebrews 10:35-36 (TPT)
Over and over it seems as if the Bible opens up to this verse, just when I need to remember that faith must partner with endurance If we are going to see our journey through. I chose the (TPT) to cite here, because I love how it says, "to reveal the poetry of God’s will and then you receive the promise in full". If I could describe our life here on earth, that is one of the ways I would describe it, as poetry, written by the Hand of God, flowing from heaven to our heart. Sometimes the flow is smooth and peaceful, other times raging and dramatic, yet there is a rhythm to the flow that builds to a cadence of form. If we’re paying attention, it doesn’t take long for us to learn how God deals with us as individuals. Just as a wise parent deals with each of their children individually, so too our Father knows how to get each of our attention:.
Yes, even in the epistles there is a rhythm to the words of instruction that give us to know that if we hold on, we will receive the promise of God’s will. Verses prior to the 35th verse of the tenth chapter of Hebrews give us to know that at the beginning of our faith walk, we never even considered giving up; and we stuck by fellow believers, laughing at every attempt of the enemy to get us to give up our faith.
Should it be any different now? The stakes are higher than ever. All creation is holding their breath to see if we fall short of seeing to the end of this thing, or will we bend to the riches and luxuries that we are used to .That same creation is mentioned in the twelfth chapter, of Hebrews, describing them as a great cloud of witnesses who are cheering us on. At God’s request we have as many angels as we need to do battle for us and with us. And the best news of all, if you go to the last chapter of the Book you see that it is a fixed fight, we will win in the end!
