Still Working on Me!

A few weeks ago I was in a quandry about many things I wanted to do. The Holy Spirit asked me a question, "What do you want to do?" I confess I couldn’t answer, then – or now.

Hebrews 4:9 (MSG) says:
And so this is still a live promise. It wasn’t canceled at the time of Joshua; otherwise, God wouldn’t keep renewing the appointment for "today." The promise of "arrival" and "rest" is still there for God’s people. God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God. So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience.

I’m still working on this rest thing. An overactive mind can be a blessing and a curse. My mind wants to do… limitations abound. Thanks be unto God, for His unsearchable riches – even in my chair – I can dream, I can pray, I can touch through the power of the Holy Spirit places I may never physically reach.

The above scripture lets me know two things – there is both rest and arrival. I’m working on both – if its’ still a promise, its’ still for me.
