We’re On a Journey…

Each of us are given a daily choice as to how we will live. We can choose to go aimlessly through life, making random decisions, taking what comes along the way, or deliberately analyzing every situation we find ourselves in and then proceeding with careful thought. God has left it up it to us. We have been given the gift of "choice". There is a way out of blind choice however. We can choose to give our life to God, and allow Him to direct our steps:

Teach us to number our days
so that we may truly live and achieve wisdom. Psalm 90:12 (AMP)

With a yielded heart to God, He enables us to attain a wisdom that helps us make the most of our days on this earth. It is not productivity that God is concerned about, but a heart that has allowed entry to His Son:

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

There is no doubt that we often can feel as if this journey called life is an obstacle course. Gaining trust in the One who sees all and knows all, takes the pressure off. We don’t have to see it all, we don’t have to know it all.- His instructions come on a ‘need to know’ basis – never early – always on time. When we embrace His GPS (God Positioning System), it never fails to lead us onto a pathway of blessing.

Perhaps you are in the midst of writing resolutions, or establishing goals, or maybe preparing a vision board for 2020. Instead of taking your dreams and desires to Him, perhaps you (and I) would be better served to take our pen and paper and open our Bibles, maybe with some worship music in the. background,  read His Word – and listen as He downloads in our hearts His plans for us, which as Jeremiah says:

11 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. 13 Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-12 (AMP)

God Bless You Fellow Earth Traveler,
