What A Way to Start the Day!
There are some mornings when you can’t wait to start the day. Your engines are revved up as the dawn breaks. There are other days when it seems as if you can’t even get that first foot on the floor. Especially for those days, it is good we don’t have to try to manufacture a prayer. The Psalmist has already provided wonderful prompts to get us started. For instance, take a look at Psalm 143:8 (AMP)
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For I trust in You.
Teach me the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You.
What Father wouldn’t get excited when you come to Him and remind Him of HIS lovingkindness; when you let HIM know that you trust totally in Him; when you ask HIM to teach you the way you should walk and carry out your day; and finally when you offer your very soul to HIM? Certainly not our Father God who made us to bring glory to HIs Name.
God wants us to shine far more than we want to. He wants us to excel in everything we put our hands to do. He wants to make us the first, and not the last. It’s all there – search the scriptures and see who He wants you to be. Then remind Him of what He said.
If life has caused you to lose your fervency and passion, take heart, there are 150 divisions of Psalms (and a whole lot more in the 66 books) that will help you go before God’s throne in a way that will get God’s attention.
