You Don’t Have to Have It All to Be Wise!

Across this country, we are in the throes of winter. Some parts of the country are prepared, for they expect the winter season to be full of snow and ice. Other parts of the country have traditionally mild winters with little or no effect, these parts of the country are not prepared – and are having disastrous results.

One thing we all know is that there is going to be winter – and we should all take a message from the ant:

The earth has four creatures that are very small but very wise:
25 The feeble ant has little strength,
yet look how it diligently gathers its food in the summer
to last throughout the winter. Proverbs 30:24-24 (TPT)

God has instinctively placed in creation certain survival skills. No matter how small or seemingly insignificant we are, there is the same need for food, clothing, and shelter. God’s creatures who have no intellect yet have particular skills that lead them to places where their necessities can be met.

We can take a lesson from the ant. God spoke of us as humans:

25 For the “foolish” things of God have proven to be wiser than human wisdom. And the “feeble” things of God have proven to be far more powerful than any human ability.

26 Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards, nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were considered the elite when you answered God’s call27 But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty.1 Corinthians 1:25-27 (TPT)

If at times you feel inadequate, take heart, you are in good company, as long as you are in God company!
