There are times when you are charged up as soon as the day breaks. You can’t wait to start your day and see what it is going to bring. There are other days when it’s a little more difficult to put that foot on the floor. However, every day can be a winner when you look into the Book and search out the Psalms. David really did not how to encourage himself. Take for instance Psalm 143:8 (AMP):
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For I trust in You.
Teach me the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You.
When you bring this petition to the Lord, reminding Him of HIS lovingkindness; reminding Him that in HIM alone we trust; asking Him to teach us the way we should walk; offering our very soul unto Him. What Father can resist this kind of request? Certainly not our Father God who made us to bring glory to His Name!
Our prayers can sometimes get weak; life has a way of draining our fervency and passion. Thankfully, there are 150 divisions of Psalms ( and a whole lot more treasure in the 66 books) which will uplift and edify you and give God he praise He is due!
