Words, fashions, music, even behavior comes in trends these days.  What if the people of God started a trend? What if all of us decided to faithfully follow the last verses of Ephesians 4:

30 It’s time to stop bringing grief to God’s Holy Spirit; you have been sealed with the Spirit, marked as His own for the day of rescue. 31 Banish bitterness, rage and anger, shouting and slander, and any and all malicious thoughts—these are poison. 32 Instead, be kind and compassionate. Graciously forgive one another just as God has forgiven you through the Anointed, our Liberating King. Ephesians 4:30-32 (The Voice)

It’s right here in black and white. When we allow those filthy enemies from the devil like bitterness, rage and anger, like slander and malicious thoughts, to invade our spirits they are not only like ingesting rat poison, they are grieving God’s Holy Spirit! When we hold grudges and withhold forgiveness to another, whoever they are, then we are rejecting the forgiveness that our God has given unto us; remember "forgive us our debts, as forgive our debtors"?

It’s time for at the very least, the people of God up and be kind and compassionate. In fact, we should begin a trend – being KIND – the boldest and the brightest of what’s "in". I hear the words of the familiar song, "let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me"!
