There are some weeks that more hectic than others. This week I had one of those very hectic ones that took me off-schedule. Some things got put to the wayside -(one of them being my daily post). I’m so glad that when life throws us a curve we have assurance from the Word of God that He is with us through it all;
The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your life.
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in [everything that you do]
From this time forth and forever. Psalm 121:7-8 (AMP)
This is a familiar benediction in some of our more traditional churches. More contemporary churches may not hear it at all. Yet, what a wonderful reminder that God will be with us protecting us, guarding us, keeping us not just some time, but all the time!
There re no promises given that will ensure that you will not have hiccups on this journey called life. Thing happen, some of them quite unexpected, and as such tend to throw you off kilter. When that occurs we need a simple reminder like the Psalm above – and like we once did in the traditional church it’s not a bad idea to repeat it every week – we homo sapiens have a short memory span!
Have a God-filled, God-blessed weekend!
