Our world today has changed so much. Everywhere you go there are people visible. There is no time, day or night that the expressways are not full. The day never seems to come to an end. Social media keeps you connected to people all over the world. People sit in coffee shops just to be around other people. It would seem as if there should never be a lonely person, experiencing a lonely day. Yet in recent years researchers have coined our era as experiencing an "epidemic of loneliness". Also classified as an epidemic is the numbers of people who have insomnia. If only they knew the benefit of a believer:

Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love. When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company— His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life. Psalm42:8 (The Voice)

sGod longs for His people to commune with Him. Whether it is day or night, He wants us to talk to Him, to ask of Him, to allow Him to talk back. Think of what it means to sit alone and have nothing to do (or nothing you want to do). Multiply those times into days and months and even years. There are countless numbers of people who experience this kind of existence.  We have a mission not only to have: "27 "Real, true religion from God the Father’s perspective is about caring for the orphans and widows who suffer needlessly…",(James 1;27 – The Voice)  but to let them know that they never have to be alone, God is good company keeper.
