The word today is "perfect". What does it mean to be perfect?

"having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be".  Internet Dictionary

Now that is the secular definition, this is Jesus’ command:

You, therefore, will be perfect [growing into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life], as your heavenly Father is perfect.   Matthew 5:48 (AMP)

Think of it, Jesus said we are to be perfect, even as our Father God is perfect! Can anyone born of man really do this?

These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Genesis 9:6 (KJV)

Think of it, before Moses, before Joshua, before Jesus, before the advent of the Holy Spirit – Noah walked as both a perfect and just man among men, but he also walked with God. If Noah did it, we can too. We need to have a confession that we can, and we have to pray that we will. Consider this scripture to pray:

32 "For who is God, save the Lord? And who is a rock, save our God?

33 God is my strength and power, and He maketh my way perfect.

34 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 2 Samuel 22:32-34 (NKJV)

Praying it too
