Some say teachers are born, not made. I can attest to this. I was born to teach – it’s in me – even now in a season of retirement, I long to find opportunities to teach…
There is One who is an eternal teacher, and even though the whole world has access to His wisdom, there are many who do not take advantage of it:
Even though the Lord may allow you
to go through a season of hardship and difficulty,
he himself will be there with you.
He will not hide himself from you,
for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher.
21 When you turn to the right or turn to the left,
you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying,
“This is the right path; follow it.” Isaiah 30:20-21 (TPT)
What a tragedy it is to go through a trial and not turn to the One who can not only help you get through the trial, but also keep you from going through it again. We have a Father who sees our every step. He knows when our way will be easy and when it will be hard. As the passage above notes, even if we go through a time of difficulty, God stands there wanting to go through it with us, His greatest desire is that we see Him as our “teacher”.
When we turn to Him as our teacher, He will be that voice in our ear saying, “this is the right path, follow it”. It’s that path that will lead us out of the wilderness into the promise land. Yes, He is there, right now, at your side. Just ask Him, He will teach you anything you need to know.
