In 2024, Heartlife Ministries (HLM) made a transformative impact in Will and Grundy Counties through faith-based recovery services, community outreach, and economic empowerment. Here’s a summary of our achievements:

By the Numbers

• 365 Daily Prayer Sessions: Over 20–30 participants joined daily intercessions, offering spiritual strength and community connection.
• 52 Weekly Virtual Bible Studies: Each session engaged 20–30 participants, nurturing faith and providing support for individuals and families.
• 300 Individuals Supported in Marriage Retreats: Annual retreats strengthened relationships for 150 couples.
• HLM Recovery 180: Served 30–40 people monthly, supporting 360–480 individuals annually with peer recovery services, mental health support, recovery housing, job placement, and crisis care.

Spiritual Engagement

Through daily prayer and weekly Bible study, HLM provided spiritual grounding for hundreds of individuals and families. Our marriage retreats continued to empower couples, fostering healthier, faith-based relationships.

Recovery and Support Services

HLM Recovery 180 offered comprehensive support to individuals on their recovery journey, addressing mental health, substance use, and housing needs. Bereavement and grief care provided solace for dozens of families, while tailored mental health resources helped participants rebuild their lives.

Community Outreach

HLM reached hundreds of unhoused individuals by distributing winter coats, meals, and essential supplies. Back-to-school drives and mission efforts equipped dozens of children and families with tools for success, and our annual coat drive addressed critical local needs during the winter months.

Economic and Leadership Empowerment

HLM partnered with IMFCU Federal Credit Union to deliver financial counseling and budgeting workshops, empowering participants with essential financial literacy skills. Employment services connected individuals with meaningful job opportunities, fostering stability and independence.
