Are You Dressed For the Weather?

What changes do we make with our inner wear? How do we adopt to the changing climate, especially when it is complicated by wars and pandemics? Have we considered that there might be some changes we need to make to that apparel:

12-14 So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Colossians 3:12-14 (MSG)

Epidemics have come, and they have passed. Wars have come and they have gone. There will be others after this virus has become a memory. Yet, the people here, the people now, have this moment in time to make a decision as to how they will live now, and how they will live forever. if we have settled this issue for ourselves, we can surely help someone else. And, if you are more confined for whatever reason, no worries, you can pray, for the Word of God says:

Now, more than ever the people of God need to wear the appropriate wardrobe. Fear, anxiety, depression, and especially affliction of a disease can cause natural reactions of panic. If we believe what we say we believe, then our hope and our future must be in God’s Hands. And it is God’s expectation that we give this message to others who may not know of His vast and all encompassing love. If ever there was a harvest that is ready, at this moment in time the fields are ripe. If ever there was a need for the evangelist in us to rise, it is now.

1Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

21 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:19-21 (KJV)

Whether in person, or in prayer, we too can send God’s Word and His Word will accomplish that which He purposes for all of us!
