CONQUER!

There are multiple wars going on in our world today. Some are horrific physical confrontations, others are more subtle, yet just as deadly. The battle cry has gone out to the whole world to "conquer" – but what side are you on?

Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.1 John 5:4 (MSG)

As believers we are called to "conquer" – not with missiles or machetes; we are called to conquer "the world’s ways". We are endowed by our Father with power, the kind of power that if we utilize it properly will cause ‘the world to its knees". How do you identify this power to conquer, it’s not easy, because that power is not seen in battle scars or fatalities – it is seen in and by our faith! When we believe, yes, really believe in God’s sent Son, Jesus, and appropriate the covenant of that belief, we become a powerful erosion combatting the evils of this world. We may not see the effects of our warfare the first day or the second, but just as surely as water and wind beating against rocks over time produces sand, so too, the prayers of faith and the spirit-filled life of the believer break down the demonic strongholds of the enemy.

Onward Christian soldier – conquer all!
