He is FOR YOU!

Today I watched the You Tube replay of the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Elevation Church. While I have not been watching them for twenty years, of the years that I have watched them I felt like it was a family affair For during the Pandemic I clung to the words of Pastor Steven – offering hope to what looked like at times a hopeless situation. And one of the greatest times of unexpected exhilaration came when they introduced “The Blessing”* to the world!

If they never write another song, or Pastor Steven never preaches another word, what happened through that song to shift the world had a monumental effect. Thinking that the God of the universe, who many thought was on vacation, was actually FOR YOU, was a game changer. People’s heart began to turn back to the altar in prayer, seeking God for answers, and not Dr. Fauci.

I will never forget the moment of pride I felt when that song aired before the world. I felt as if I was a part of an angelic choir pronouncing to the world, all is not lost, there is redemption still available to all who will come to Jesus. For in fact it was an invitation to come to the banqueting table, giving an r.s.v.p. to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. No longer seeing the temporal view as reported by the evening news, my vision saw a glimpse of eternity – knowing that this thing called life is so much more than we can fathom right now.

I looked at my grandchildren and my great grandchildren and saw the plan of God to receive HIs love and pass it on, one person and then another, one generation and then another. This world is not the only world, there is a world where we one day take up habitation that goes on without end. Yet, while we’re here, we have the opportunity to bask upon the love of a Heavenly Father who means us good, not evil; who longs for us to receive the blessing of life!
