We Don’t Hear This Much Today!

Fire and brimstone went out with the computer age. The likes of the preachers who talked about hell and burning forever in unquenchable fire have become a relic in these modern times. Does that make the Bible any less true?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30-31 (KJV)

I can remember when showing a film like "Burning Hell" or "Left Behind" would make even the adults quake in their boots. Few of our young people even know of such things. Whether we talk about it or not, there is going to come a day when everyone will appear before the judgment seat of God to give account for the deeds done in their bodies.

We have been given free will, yet have you discovered that there is really nothing that is free? There is a cost to everything in this life. While we may get away with "credit" for a long while, one day the bill comes due.  We either have to pay up or file bankruptcy and fall at the mercy of the court. It is no different in the spirit world. We can be as grown as we want to be and make all of our decisions based upon how we feel, or what we think we want to do -life has a way of one day cashing in for payment. Notice I didn’t say God. The craziest thing about all of this is that God is far more merciful than life is. This world system is a hard taskmaster. It won’t let you get away with your "stuff" forever without payment.

That’s  the way of this life. Can you imagine what will happen in the next? If you can’t, maybe you need to pull up those old films like, "Twenty Minutes in Hell" – a story told by one who went there!
