What We Need Now More Than Ever!
Just like everything else that exists in this world, there are as many pandemic theories running around as there are nations. For all the talk, opinions can’t fix the myriad of problems that have resulted from the outbreak of this virus. There is only One. He is the God and Father of us all. He alone holds the fate of humanity in HIs Hands. I personally believe He didn’t bring us here to take us out like this. However, whatever your opinion, there is one thing I think we can agree upon that is so desperately needed;
May our dependably steady and warmly personal God develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other as well as Jesus gets along with us all. Then we’ll be a choir—not our voices only, but our very lives singing in harmony in a stunning anthem to the God and Father of our Master Jesus! Romans 15:5 (MSG)
What would happen to our world if we as believers would personally allow God to mature us so that no matter what our philosophical frame, that when it comes to the gospel we come together in a choir of unity, singing about our great God and His wonderful Son Jesus!
What if our voices were raised in unison singing a familiar hymn:
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind but now I seeWas Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believedThrough many dangers, toils and snares
We have already come
T’was Grace that brought us safe thus far
And Grace will lead us home…
Songwriters: John Newton / Traditional
What if we then took up the famous refrain:
Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord!"Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!I’m so glad I learned to trust Him,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend
And I know that He is with me,
Will be with me to the end…
Songwriters: William James Kirkpatrick / Canzetta Staton / Louisa M. Stead
Better yet, what if we all believed these words?
