God’s Word Is Still Speaking – Are We Listening?

It is one thing to say that you believe God and trust Him and quite another to stand strong without wavering. This is not a put down, for it takes having an experience with God, and not just one before we can defeat the worry that maybe God won’t come through. Most of us by nature are skeptical. We don’t readily accept someone’s word. God understands that. However, it is only when we launch out into the deep and trust Him that we get to experience the wonderful blessing of Him doing for us what seems to be impossible.

How do you acquire this ability to launch out in the deep, you say. It comes by consistently feeding yourself on the Word of God. On seeing what He did for David in the Cave of Abdullam, or Esther, a Jewish maiden in the midst of the pagan Persian empire. As we read about Daniel in the lions’s den, and the three Hebrew boys in the midst of the fiery furnace – something triggers in our spirit – it propels us to say, “if He did it for them, He can do it for me!

And what a thrill it is, when He does the impossible – He gives you that promotion, against all odds; He heals your Mother or your Father when the doctor’s offered no hope. Your wayward son came home saying he wants to turn his life around.

Yes, God is yet doing miracles. He is yet answering prayer, and He is yet saying:

“Without faith it is impossible to please me, for he that cometh to God, must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him”. Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

We have all been given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3), ask God to give you what you need for this season of your life, He gives in abundance.

Maria
