And So We Go…To The Finish Line!
Presently I am in a situation that makes me want to run. Learning new things has always come easy for me. When I find myself in a situation where I can’t make heads from tails, it leaves me frustrated and unsure of myself. My first inclination is to quit; after all it’s not like I have to do this, I’m retired! Yet, I hear the colloquial expression church folks often use: "if God leads you to it, He will lead you through it". I know quitting is not part of our legacy as believers. So how do I face this overwhelming circumstance?
My teacher approach has always been to see how I can take the problem apart. In trying to do this I realize that it is too big for me to even know how to take it apart. My next step – go to God’s Word. The Bible may not contain economic forecasts and analyses, but it does talk about how we approach everything we will ever face in life. The first scripture that came into my heart:
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him. 2 Corinthians 2:14 (AMP)
When I signed up for the class I am taking, my first inclination was not to become a financial wizard. My first thought was that I would have the opportunity to meet new people, to experience something that I had never experienced before. While the subject matter is mind boggling, the opportunity to meet new people is still present. The opportunity to experience something new has come. Starting from my premise I realize that I am here by divine appointment, and on this assignment I don’t need to be frustrated by what I don’t understand, rather, I must focus on the God who "always leads us in triumph in Christ"; and that He will not only make Himself evident in me to someone who needs to know the knowledge of Him, but along with that will lead me to HIS finish line, one step at a time.
