Reciprocity!

Presently I am taking an intense course on one segment of the financial market. Most of the material is beyond my experience and some quite frankly is beyond my comprehension. However, this morning I came upon a scripture that put one of the basic concepts of finance in simple terms:

Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.Psalm 112:5 NLT

Now this is something I can understand. I find that when I can get difficult information down to its’ simplest form, I can scaffold my way to more complex thoughts. For example, when I read the above scripture I immediately began to think about the law of reciprocity: 

^24-25 "Listen carefully to what I am saying—and be wary of the shrewd advice that tells you how to get ahead in the world on your own. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity. Stinginess impoverishes." Mark 4:24-25 (MSG)

After I thought on this, I remembered one of Newton’s Laws of Motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

As I add more thought to this, I realize that I will be able to understand this subject, which just a few days ago was like Greek to me.

What do you have in your hand? God has given all of us a measure of faith – as we add to our faith – faith grows into other attributes that enrich our lives and bring blessings to others. When we fail to use what we have, then we lose whatever that was.
