Lovingkindness!
It’s Monday! Monday for many is a "return to", rather than an "anticipation of". Looking backward, instead of forward. No matter what your outlook on the week is, every day is a good day to think of the lovingkindness of our Lord:
Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee. Psalm63:3 (NKJV)
How can we not be grateful when we think of how our God showers us daily with benefits. He speak of His love, but His talk is backed up with action. All around us from the rising of the sun, to the going down of the same we see His marvelous love radiating.
to show forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night Psalm: 92:2 (NKJV)
The breath we breathe, the activity of our limbs, the soundness of our minds, the beating of our heart, the provision of our daily bread, they resonate the lovingkindness of our God.
Yet we can think of so many other ways God spreads forth His lovingkindness, consider our benefit package:
3 who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases,
4 who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 who satisfieth thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:3-5 (NKJV)
The marvelous mystery about God’s love is perhaps the most amazing:
3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV)
In order to get our attention, God does not scream and holler at us; nor does He threaten us with hellfire and damnation; it is with "lovingkindness" that the Spirit of the Living God extends an outstretched hand for us to come, to come and bask in all the wonders of this world’s life, even into the world to come.
