You Need A Password!
One of the greatest challenges we face in this techno crazy world is remembering passwords. It seems as if everything you try to establish through technology requires a user name and a password. It would be simple if you could use the same user name and the same password for everything, but different systems require different requirements for the password, some use a capital, a symbol and number – others don’t. So to add to all the other things we have to keep up with, we have to keep up with the passwords we use or we won’t have entry into the things we need.
Those of us who live in two worlds, this world and the Kingdom of God understand this. For before computers were a glimmer in the imagination, God required a password:
Enter with the password: "Thank you!" Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him. Psalm 103:4 (MSG)
The fastest entry into the presence of God is to enter His gates with the password of "thank-you"!. Once you enter you can "make yourself at home". However, in the Kingdom of God the main conversation is not going to be the latest Dow report, or what CNN had to say last night. No, the conversation will revolve around worshipping the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We will marvel in the latest people that got healed, that relative who just got saved, that prodigal that came home.
Yet, the Words we speak will never get old or run out; in fact, once you’re really at home you find that talking "praise" and giving "thanks" is something you can do for eternity.
