He Wants More Than An Entry!

When someone opens the door to their house wide, they usually open it to let you in. Even with your entry however that does not mean they are giving you the run of the house. There are certain expectations, whether stated or not, that they expect you to abide by. Entry does not mean going into their refrigerator and taking anything that you want; or going to their bedroom and taking a nap. Even entry into a house by invitation has limitations. 

Jesus told us in Revelation 3:20 (AMP):

Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me. 

We see an open invitation to the whosoever to not only meet Jesus at the door but to upon hearing His voice to open the door and come in and eat with Him. The words in the parentheses stipulate some conditions. The first thing we notice that it says the door "of the church". This is a criteria. He is talking to a people who desire to worship God (become the church). The second one is a result of His entry, Jesus will not only "eat with him" but also "restore Him". Jesus will come in, but He comes to do damage control. He doesn’t want just a meal, He wants an open invitation to be a "live-in guest".

Sadly, there are too many who feel as if letting Jesus through the door only means He will sit in the guest room as a silent by-stander. This is not His condition, He wants more than an entry; to be more than a spectacle piece; He wants to really live in a heart that allows Him to take off His shoes, get comfortable and do His work:

I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). John 10:9 (AMP)
