This is How We Do It!

All week we have talked about why we shrink from God’s presence. Today we want to see how we should do it:
2 On your feet now—applaud God!
Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.
3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep. Psalm 100:2-3 (MSG)
Everyone likes applause for a job well done. How much more should we give a resounding shout-out to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! We see an admonition here to stand up – bring a joyful face before Him and how I like what’s next – "sing yourselves into His presence". How about that? Coming boldly before the Lord with a song bursting forth from our heart into the very throne room of God. Why should we come this way – because He is God and we’re HIs people.
What parent doesn’t want their children happy to see them? What parent isn’t overjoyed when their children’s face lights up and with joyful anticipation, they greet them with a hug? God wants that from us too!
