The Structure of Our New Life!

It does not matter what the topic of discussion, it seems that everywhere you go you run into authorities on the subject. Whether it is food they are talking about, or how to run the country – there is always those who seem to have a better take on how "everyone" needs to act. This is not a new phenomenon:

Now let me address the issue of food offered in sacrifice to idols. It seems that everyone believes his own opinion is right on this matter. How easily we get puffed up over our opinions! But love builds up the structure of our new life.2 If anyone thinks of himself as a know-it-all, he still has a lot to learn. 3 But if a person passionately loves God, he will possess the knowledge of God. 1 Corinthians 8:1-3 (The Passion Translation)

None of us walking this earth, no matter how much of a student we are, possesses all knowledge. However, when we have God on the throne  of our heart than we carry with us the One who is knowledge because as we saw yesterday, He created every thing that there is. So not only does He know every atom and proton and neutron; He knows every analog, biometric and javascript.

The key to knowing what to do and how to do it, lies in yielding to the One who know it all. It is not only essential that we possess God, but that we let God possess us. Scripture warns us:

Before every person lies a road that seems to be right, but at the end of that road death and destruction wait.Proverbs 16:25 (The Voice)

And consider this:

Remember this: If you have a lofty opinion of yourself and seek to be honored, you will be humbled. But if you have a modest opinion of yourself and choose to humble yourself, you will be honored." Matthew 23:12 (The Passion Translation)

We must always remember the example of our Lord:

28 So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I am he.[a] I do nothing on my own but say only what the Father taught me. John 8:28 (NLT)

We could continue the argument, but suffice it to say:

18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool [discarding his worldly pretensions and acknowledging his lack of wisdom], so that he may become [truly] wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness (absurdity, stupidity) before God; for it is written [in Scripture], "[He is] The one who catches the wise and clever in their craftiness 20 and again, "The Lord knows the thoughts of the [humanly] wise, that they are useless." 21 So let no one boast in men [about their wisdom, or of having this or that one as a leader]. For all things are yours, 1 Corinthians 3:18-21 (AMP)
