There Is Always a Way Out of the Wilderness!
An eleven day journey took forty years because God blinded the eyes of Moses and the children of Israel from seeing the way out of the wilderness. When Moses sent the 12 spies out, they got a glimpse of the way out, but then became convinced that the way was too hard -only Joshua and Caleb were ready to go through to get out. It is the same way today. God gives us a glimpse out of the way of our captivity, out of our dilemma, out of our bondage, but we feel as if the giants are too big, that we can’t go through, so the blinders cover our eyes and paralyze our situations. If truth be told however, there is ALWAYS a way-out of the wilderness we are in. He opens doors, dries up seas, blinds our enemies, and provides the ability to walk across a raging river on dry land:
13 We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (TPT)
When we yield ourselves to Jesus Christ, with an open heart of faith, all of our senses become conformable to His influence:
We see with eyes of faith:
2 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. Matthew 20:33-34 (KJV)
We hear with new ears:
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Mark 6:2 (KJV)
We walk a new walk:
Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 (KJV)
We talk a new talk:
7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.Titus 2:708 (KJV)
Eyes, ears, feet, speech – brand new – tools sharpened to see the way out and walk therein into the promise land of your life.
