Have Faith In God!

There is now no doubt the the world is in a crisis. The World Health Organization has declared the Coronavirus as pandemic. Everywhere pandemonium has broke out and people are even fighting in department stores over toilet paper! The shelves in stores are emptying out, the lines are from the counter to the back of the store, and fear is gripping the hearts of people everywhere. While this is in no way intended to minimize the seriousness of this crisis, it is important when facing unknown situations to look at things from God’s perspective;

9-32 "What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself. Luke 12:28-32 (MSG)

The scriptures are for our edification, but they are for our comfort too. When we read a passage like this one above, it warms our heart to know that God wants us to know that His heart’s desire is to be our "dearest friend"; that His over all plan is to give us His Kingdom. While this does not ensure that we will never face affliction, nor does it mean that  unexpected things won’t come knocking at our door. What it does mean is that we have assurance that by placing things in God’s Hands, He will do the heavy lifting, we can settle down relax and trust Him to see us through. In fact there are estimates that there are from 3,000 to 7,000 promises in the Word of God. Some of these promises relate to how to stay healthy, some relate to healing after the body is sick.

Many of the major illnesses plaguing the people in our nation today are a result of stress. By changing how we react to stress and fear and anger and the frustration that causes it, we can improve and even reverse the effects of many life threatening diseases. Hear the Word of our Lord:

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:21-23 (KJV)
