Celebrate – We Are Doing It!

If you are reading this, you are one of the many who has either bypassed getting the coronavirus, or have survived it. What that means is you have cause to celebrate. By a great percentage, more are surviving this crisis than dying from it. While we certainly mourn those who did pass, we should never lose sight of those who are here. Living in the shadows of despair and defeat never produce a healthy body.

For many of us across this nation we have another cause to celebrate – we have honored the shelter-at-home decrees and we have made it, and are the better for it. We are probably eating better with no frequent stops to the fast food places. We have spent more time with family. We have probably began to read, or do crafts, or even clean out closets and basements. Some of us have even brushed off our dreams and took another look at them, seeing possibilities. No doubt there are many children who have gotten to see their parents more in the past couple of weeks consistently, than all year.

Please do not think I am not aware that there are many suffering. Workers who have laid off due to restaurants closing, or even doctors and dentist offices; day laborers, the already unemployed and underemployed. When I think of this I think how can I be a help to those not just now, but how can I help to put systems in place for whatever is to come? Trouble doesn’t come to knock us out, many times troubles are our conduit to an even better way of doing things.

Whether you are a deep thinker, or an intercessor, or just an every day Joe that wants to be happy, here is a good thought from the Word of God:

A twinkle in the eye means joy in the heart,
and good news makes you feel fit as a fiddle. Pr

By the grace of God and the power of God, coronavirus is going to exit this earth. Have faith in God, rejoice, and put a twinkle in your eye, we are on the winning team!
