Waling in Faith’s Perfection!
Each of us born into time have a job to do in the time we live in. We have a responsibility both to God and to our generation to fulfill the mandate on our lives. The enemy of our soul has a single mission – to stop the plan of God by any means necessary. He uses various tricks that will get our own attention – for he knows just enough about us to know how to hinder us! There is a remedy for this situation. We have to know enough about us and about the God who made us to know how to wage war against all opposition to the plan of God for our lives.
We also should be aware that we are not in this war alone. Everyone born to man faces the same conflict. While the circumstances may be different, the intent of the enemy and the hesitancy we have to fulfill God’s plan for our lives is the same; it was like that for Jesus too:
2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
3 So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls, so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures. Hebrews 12:2-3 (TPT)
Instead of giving in to the natural inclination to avoid suffering, Jesus instead focused on the end game. He knew the joy He would have and so would His Father when wretched sinners like you and me CHOSE to give up sin and live a life pleasing to God. He knew that the suffering would be hard, even unbearable, yet He pulled on the strength of God in Him to suffer both the agony of the cross and the rejection and humiliation before man. His reward – He is now seated at the right Hand of God!
We too, must consider that the opposition we are facing in fulfilling God’s plan for our life is worth far more than the struggle it is taking to see it through. We have to have confidence not in our ability alone, for we know enough about ourselves to know that we are subject to falter and fail. We have to know that our ability plus God’s supernatural power will bring us to completion of all things destined for our life.
Therefore we take courage, we put on strength, we fight doubt and discouragement. We look unto Jesus Himself who "birthed faith with us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection".
