Is This All It Takes?

I know all of you out there have at least one relative or very close friend that is suffering through some difficult times right now. Spirits are heavy, people are depressed, the confinement has gotten to some people and caused them to lose hope. What can be done – the covid -19 is still raging – it’s not like we can send people back out into the public square. Well did you know there was a valley in the days of Ezekiel, and it was filled with dry bones:

3 And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord God, You know." 4 Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ Ezekiel 37:3-4 (AMP)

Yes, Ezekiel was sent into a valley filled with dry dead bones. Wondering why God sent him there, he heard God ask him if the bones could live? Imagine God asking him such a question, it is God who knows everything, which is exactly what Ezekiel told God. to which God replied, "prophesy to these bones" – could it be that simple? As we are looking at people drying up, sitting as if they are dead mens bones, can they rise again if we prophesy to them the Word of the Lord?

Yes, it is that easy. There is power in the Words of Life. Jesus had this to say about His Word:

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.(KJV)

There is nothing we can do to heal a heart that its broken, or a life that feels devastated. Yet, the Words of Lord can lift them, raising them up to a nw place, a place of hope, a place of promise.

And if that’s not enough, we have this truth laid out for us:

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (KJV)

Let us be like Ezekiel – speaking to some bones!
