So Glad the Pressure Is Off!

Have you ever had to put on an event? No matter how many people you have on your committee, the pressure is still on for you to make it happen! Depending on the importance of the meeting the pressure might get so great that you forget you have a committee and try to do everything yourself! Life can be like that event – every day feeling as if it is depending on you to perform and get it right. Feeling as if every decision you make, every act you perform, every word that you say will not only impact you, but your mate and your children and everyone else in your life space.

I am so glad that the pressure is off for those who have believed in and received Jesus as their Savior:

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4: has 7-11 (KJV)

In this passage of scripture John reinforces the main truth we need – "God is love". Thus, when it is stated that we should "love one another"  – it’s no problem – for if we know God – I mean really know Him and have set up room in our hearts to receive Him – then what He manifests in us is LOVE! And not just a casual love, the kind of love that God gave HIs Son in coming to the world to die a sinless death, to be resurrected into life eternal that "we might live through Him". It didn’t matter that we didn’t love Him, He came anyway! It didn’t matter that we were a wretch undone – He came anyway! He bore our sins on that Roman cross even though we didn’t know that it would one day render us free of the penalty of our sin and alive forevermore into a new and glorious life!

When you consider all those things, is it really such a hard thing to open your heart and let God love others through us?
