He’s The God of the City!

I often wake up in the wee hours of the morning. Usually there is nothing on my mind except trying to get back to sleep. Yesterday I was extremely tired and went to bed without doing my post. But then I heard it, I heard words that responded to the cry of my heart:

You’re the God of this city
You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation
You are

You’re the light in this darkness
You’re the hope to the hopeless
You’re the peace to the restless
You are

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this city
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this city

You’re the God of this city
You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation
You are

You’re the light in this darkness
You’re the hope to the hopeless
You’re the peace to the restless
You are…

We believe in you God

We believe in you God…

Yes, this is it! This is the answer! Not the news reports making us fear, or even the latest information fed to the FBI and CIA to put us on alert – there is a  God that I serve –"He is the God of the City! He is the God of these people! He is the light intros darkness"! I don’t need to be afraid of what will happen November 4th – He IS already there keeping watch over the city! "Greater things have been done, (but) greater things have yet to come." It’s not over until God says it’s over! He will reign over us who put our trust in Him.

If the words above are not enough, consider the words of the Psalmist:

God is in the midst of his city, secure and never shaken. At daybreak his help will be seen with the appearing of the dawn. Psalm 46:5 (TPT)
