Running!

There is a time when you’ve confessed, you’ve believed, you’ve stood in faith – still hoping  – now it is time to run:

We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.

Yes, the next action is to run to God with the promised hope and never, ever, ever let go!

Circumstances in life tend to shape our view of things. We go day after day in a job that we had hoped would only be a stepping stone to something more lucrative. Year after year nothing changes. We rise early, work long days for a thankless family – hoping that they would notice all the love you put into even mundane tasks. Have you ever felt like  you fit in one of these categories? Welcome to life. Prayers aren’t always answered right away; family members don’t always give you thanks for the countless things you daily do for them. Friends don’t always let you know that they really appreciate your friendship. Hard work on the job isn’t always recognized. The scenarios can go on and on. You can look at life as being one disappointment after another, OR… you can run to God with both hands stretched out before Him holding the promises you believe are yours. You can maintain that position, no matter how long it takes, knowing that our God is a high priest for us, willing and able to meet our needs.

I am encouraged today when I think about hope in a God who has overwhelmed me in times past. As Andrae Crouch peened there words:

How can I say thanks
For the things You have done for me?
Things so undeserved
Yet You gave to prove Your love for me;
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am and ever hope to be
I owe it all to Thee

[Chorus 1:]
To God be the glory
To God be the glory
To God be the glory
For the things He has done….

My Tribute (To God Be The Glory)" Lyrics

by Andrae Crouch | from the album History Makers: Collection

I realize that the best way I can say thanks is to continue to run to Him in hope!
