In Any Season, Peace…

Did you know that peace on earth is achievable? Maybe not a full scale, but it is achievable with you – and your space on this earth:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

²By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

³And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans 5:1-3 (KJV)

As believers we have access into a peace that is full of the grace of God. That same peace fills to overflowing in us, giving us hope that others can receive it, so we stand in the midst of conflict, we stand in the midst of turmoil, we stand even in the midst of war – being fully convinced that "He that has begun. good work is able to complete it". We marvel at the grace of God which can take totally messed up situations and turn them into something beautiful.

Is it difficult to walk in peace – sometimes it is. There is a nature within us that seeks not only vindication but also retribution. We may not get that. Seek peace anyhow. We may receive the short end of the stick, walk tall anyway – for Jesus always pays what is right.We may have to walk in humility, like our big brother Jesus – seeking to serve, not to rule. Admittedly, our life may look different, but oh the joy, oh the peace…

A song arises in my heart today when I think of this peace…
