Hope says…

At the beginning of 2020, there were so many prophetic words concerning vision. That 2020 would produce a clearer vision for those who sought the Lord. I believe that word came to pass. We are not floating around as if there was not pain and suffering in the world, we’ve seen the works of the enemy, we’ve also seen the power of our God. Clearer vision results in an unexpected benefit:

I waited a long time for the Eternal;
He finally knelt down to hear me.
He listened to my weak and whispered cry.
2 He reached down and drew me
from the deep, dark hole where I was stranded, mired in the muck and clay.
With a gentle hand, He pulled me out
To set me down safely on a warm rock;
He held me until I was steady enough to continue the journey again.
3 As if that were not enough,
because of Him my mind is clearing up.
Now I have a new song to sing—
a song of praise to the One who saved me.
Because of what He’s done, many people will see
and come to trust in the Eternal. Psalm 40:1-3 (The Voice)

We have all been in school this past year. Unfortunately everyone did not get the lesson. Those of us who got tired of moaning and complaining and sat up in attention to see what God was doing in the midst of the attack, were able to get a clearer vision of purpose and a resounding heart of praise! With our priorities in tact, we are now able to be a witness of the great things God has done and is doing. The benefit of our 2020 education is two-fold – we are able to walk more in the purposes of God, and we are able to share our faith in God, for our faith is no longer resting on who we are, but on who HE is!

 Yes, our trials do make us stronger and wiser. We are better prepared to face whatever 2021 will be. No longer are we looking for the government, the scientific community, our jobs to be our all sufficiency – each of these areas have revealed flaws. With quarantines in place, we even had a hard time getting to our families. We have seen that only the grace of God and the mercy of God can keep us through the storms of the life.

Therefore, we enter 2021 "looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith", knowing:

So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. Hebrews 5:18 (NLT)

2021 is going to be.a very good year!
