More on Our Inheritance!

Yesterday we were talking about the inheritance of the Old Testament Levites – that God Himself was their inheritance. Today, looking at the New Testament we see a bit more about inheritance rights:

It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This down payment from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life. Ephesians 1:14 (MSG)

Here we find the Apostle Paul letting the church at Ephesus know that not only are they in line for an inheritance, but it is going to come in installments!

They are given the process of this inheritance: the first delivery is the Holy Spirit which is a glimpse into the entry of this new supernatural life. Then the terms of the contact begins to unfold – God gives this down payment – a first installment if you will, which lets us know that God is going to give us everything that he has planned for us, including an eternity with HIm.

Every day the benefits lodged in this contract.just keep getting better and better. The Holy Spirit reveals to us God’s plan, by opening our spiritual eyes, and step by step that plan unfolds with life altering events designed to bless us immeasurably right here on earth. Then as go from one glorious dimension to the next, we continue to partake in the treasury of riches God has promised for us here, as well as the ultimate part of our inheritance, a forever after with HIm.

With terms like these, who could refuse signing on the dotted line?
